My sourdough starter died, I have to start over. I used to use potato buds and sugar to feed my starter. I think I found the recipe here. I cannot find it now. Need help. thanks.

You using filtered water?

My wife just uses filtered water and flour. After she gets a good bubble going she takes some of the discard off the top and adds more flour. Using the discard for pancakes or biscuits.

She said she don’t have time for the potato bud and sugar thing. 🤣

It is hard to kill. Mine is at least 10+ years old. Just discard half and feed with water/flour. Once a week.

Couple times it went a lot longer. Put it on the counter and fed a couple times a day and it came back fine. The only time I had to start over long ago was when it sat out over night uncovered and flies got to it.
