3rd Annual Milan Rifle Club
Mid Range BPTR Prone Match
July 9th and 10th

Where- Milan Rifle Club, 9221 51 St W. Milan IL, 61264

Cost- Full Match- $35, Single Day $25

When- Arrive at 7:00 AM, Firing begins at 8:00AM
Course of Fire- 200, 300 and 600yrds. We begin at 200yrds on Saturday the 9th and finish with the 600 yrd relays on Sunday the 10th. The course of fire may be changed due to adverse weather conditions , i.e. excessive heat.

Relays- BPCR 25min, LRML 50min. Each shooter has two scoring relays for each yardage with 10 record shots per relay. This makes a total of 60 record shots. There are unlimited sighters however there are no conversions.

Equipment- Either BPCR or LRML of the long range BP target shooting period may be used. Period target aperture sights are required (no click adjustments), period scopes are allowed but are scored separately. Wrist rests, slings and X- sticks may be used.

Ammunition- BP or Pyrodex ONLY, absolutely NO SMOKELESS. Lead bullets only, NO jacketed or gas check bullets, paper patched bullets are okay.

Minimum Bullet Weights- This is for target pit safety.

.50 26” 600grn 1200fps
.45 20” 500grn 1220fps
.40 16” 400grn 1280fps
.38 13” 340grn 1300fps

Targets- Standard NRA HP bullseye.

Scoring- targets are scored by the pit crew. There are 600 points and 60x possible for the match. A bullet must cut a scoring ring in half to obtain the higher score.

Camping- Camping is provided on the range but there are no services. A KOA campground is located 2 miles from the range on Andalusia Rd E.

Lunch- Lunch will be provided.
Prizes- Cash prizes are awarded to the 1rst, 2nd and 3rd place winners. The total entry fees are split 50/50 with half going to the Rifle Club and the other half being awarded. The prize breakdown is as follows.
1rst place- 50%
2nd place- 40%
3rd place- 10%

Directions to the Range

From I-80 E- continue straight onto I-280 W Moline/Rock Island. Take the IL-92/Andalusia Rd exit. Pass the Jumers Casino and continue to the second light which will be 78th ave/Andalusia rd. turn right. Turn left on 51rst st. W. continue straight and go through the intersection marked by a stop sign. The range will be on your left side just after the top of the hill, and is marked with a yellow gate. Once inside the club, procede down the hill to the 200yrd firing line.

no sorry luie, this is for the big target rifles and the cartridge guns. you are more than welcome to come watch and help pull targets if you like. it's pretty amazing.
 
we can always use and extra set of hands somewhere, and afterwards you can snug up to a whitworth rifle too.
