- Load is 30 grains 3F Grafs powder, 454 swaged ball, 50/50 lambs tallow and beezwax over top of the ball. #10 Remington cap (these fit the nipples the best) and a cap collar over all six caps. -
As discussed in the thread " 1858 Truck gun " The results of this test has been my experience carrying percussion revolvers, leaving them loaded for various periods of time, then firing them dry. They just WORK if YOU do YOUR part. I also looked up the Temps in the 4 month test. Max 96 degrees, Min 26 degrees. Dew Point , Max 80, Min 9.
