Reduced . This is an older build .40 longrifle with somewhat of an Allegheny styling. It has a 42" barrel with overall good plus 1:66 bore. Generally bright and sharp, there is a section a few inches into bore with some pitting, mostly in grooves. I have improved it with scrubbing, but needs more work. Blue Scotchbrite pad strips and polushing compound should fix it. Maker's name is etched on top flat, but I can't make it out. The Maple stock has some nice figure and both relief and incise carving. Brass fittings and German Silver crescent moon inlay. LOP is 13 3/8". Missing its simple two piece patchbox. Track of the Wolf sells a blank that can easily be trimmed and fitted. Lock appears to be an antique. Needs a good cleaning. Rifle weighs 8.6 lbs. Price reflects rifle's short comings. $700 + Shipping.
