You are going to help us out some. A cylinder for just what revolver. If CVA had a 40 cal revolver,this would be the first I have heard of it.

It is Connecticut Arms I was told they became CVA.

Most replica revolvers I've seen were either .36 or .44. Although that doesn't mean there aren't any other calibers.
Some pictures of it showing any markings might help too, because over time there may have been more than one manufacturer used.

Correction, it IS .44 cal. I don't know where or why I put .40 cal in there. Sorry for the confusion.
So now, I've seen .44 cal cylinders, the question now is what will fit my Connecticut arms.?

That's where markings come into it, who made the piece and when, I'm not very familiar with CVA, but believe their revolvers were made by at least two different manufactures, and that while some parts might interchange some might not.
Being .44, it could be of several designs, Colt or Remington etc. It's why I suggest pictures. Beyond this suggestion I won't be of much help, but with enough pictures others can likely answer, going by proof marks and makers logos etc.

I haven't added any pictures on this forum, but I would click on the paperclip/attach files button in the lower left of the reply box and chose the file from my machine and click "open"- that worked on other forums using this platform. But you can also click on the "Insert image" button in the top of the reply box and drag the image to it.

Any marks under the loading lever or on the barrel? Does it have any markings saying CVA?

Another option if possible is to find A friend or another shooter with similar model revolver and swap their cylinder and see if it works. For example one from a Pietta or Uberti. If one works then you can narrow the search.

What's wrong with the cylinder? Your wedge is missing . It's a brass frame 1860 colt replica. It has it's own charm to me as it is .
