A fellow has this he wants to selll I’ve never had any deaiings with ml pistols does anyone know about this make?

It's a brass framed italian repro, not sure of the maker from those pics. It's a sheriff's model, meaning a shorter barrel. It has the roll engraved cylinder and it has a nice tall front sight compared to most of those so it might not shoot as high as they usually do.

The date code AP on the frame corresponds to 1986 as the date of manufacture.

If you can see and handle it before purchase, check the bore and chambers for pitting or rust, but from the pics it looks like it was cared for pretty well. It looks decent, might be a good shooter.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder my friend. You can get the modern pietta brass sherrif brand new around $260. Personally i wouldn't own a brass pietta older then 2009. That's the year they started to CNC all if their parts for their revolvers. The Beauty of that is plug n play replacement pieces not to mention better quality control.

Be careful with your loads in brass frame .44 spaghetti slingers. They have a tendency to stretch. Do not under any circumstances install the 45lc conversion cylinder on a brass frame repop. It's not if, but when, you have a Kaboom...it's gonna hurt.

Also... Considering how the wedge isn't all the way through, your arbor may need to be adjusted. If the cylinder won't turn when you have the wedge all the way in, that's a common issue with Piettas, and it's easily fixed.
