.45 longrifle by the late Ted Fellowes. Really nicely made rifle, curly maple stock with incised carving, minor marks from normal usage. Well balanced, both carrying and shouldering. Bill Large barrel hangs nicely and is signed "F. Fellowes" on top flat and marked W.M. Large on side flat. Bottom flat is engraved with "Seattle W.T. 8/11/77 along with what seems like a serial number of 297. Bore looks great and ignition is instantaneous. I shot a 6-shot group offhand at 50 yards to check ignition and without any idea what the rifle likes, she hit a pie-plate sized steel gong every time (I believe 36 grains of 3F with pillow ticking and a .435 ball.) Rifle weighs 9 lbs. Incised carving and brass star on cheek side, silver thumbpiece. I made a new, tapered ramrod for it because it was missing it’s rod.

Caliber: .45

Barrel: 42” W.M. Large, vent liner with external cone. Bore looks great

13” LOP, 57” overall.

Adjustable double set triggers

Lock: R. Hamm, very similar size to a large Siler
