It's a Ted Hatfield rifle, mid 70's - the dies & jigs have gone through many rebirths through the years as Hatfield, J.P. McCoy, Pedersoli (Frontier, I think) and Cabela's Blue Ridge. L.C. Rice was involved with the lock it carried at that time (Hatfield). He's first rate.

We don't endorse giving gun values here, but that one is a quality muzzleloader and, if well kept and maintained, would be a bit higher up the food chain than a T/C or Lyman.

Thanks for the info. My appology for inquiring about the value here. The folks here are very helpfull and I intend to post this in the classified section, I just have know idea what to ask for it. I know it can be considered trolling. The gun belongs to a widow lady in my church and I want to get the most I can for her. This forum was very helpfull in helping me sell a historic fowler she had. Thanks again, - jerry
