This is a lightly used, very svelte rifle.

42" Green Mountain barrel in .50 cal.
Large Siler lock.
LOP 14".
OAL 58".
8.5 lbs.

There are three "glaring" blemishes (visible ones noted in pictures).

There's a small chip in the toe plate inlet. A small, superficial gap in the tang inlet (just the top corner, does not extend to bottom of tang inlet). And my pitiful engraving attempt on the side plate.

The ramrod hole interferes with the front lock bolt. Lock bolt has been notched to accept ramrod and bolt head has an index mark.

A .490 ball, .018 patch, and 80 grains of fffg seems to be the ticket.

Asking $1500 shipped or best offer.

If anyone needs more or better pictures of anything just ask.

I'm in the mood to buy a flintlock....

what is the metal finish (if any) on the barrel?
is that maple? or curly maple stock?
what is the brass button just aft of the screw on the top part of the buttplate, is that the patchbox relief?

Barrel finish was in the white. Patina'd naturally over the last 14 years hanging on the hooks in my office. I wouldn't call it "French gray" nor would I call it bright. Just a good dull gray.

Lock is polished bright.

Yes. The button is the patchbox release.

I don’t know if this helps. Hard to capture the real color without good natural light.
