I have a surprised chance to hunt on one of those managed game ranches for hogs and maybe whitetail "culs" . The range over a feeder will be 30 yards mostly used by archers. I can use muzzleloader. I have never hunted either with BP rifle. I would really like to do this with .45 flintlock, but T/C hawken .50 is next choice. Either more fun than center fire rifle.

Punch a hole in the heart or lungs and there're dead with either.

Use the flintlock if your proficient with it and wait for a good broadside shot. You'll be happy with the results if your aim is true...

And good luck!

not much of a difference between the two, go with the one you like the most.
