My 51 Navy is giving me fits as far as being able to shoot with any kind of accuracy. After seating the ball the end of the plunger leaves the ball looking like a beaver got after it. :shocked2:

Does the shape of the end of the loading plunger really matter?
Is it worth the effort to change it?
My Other revolvers have more or less a half circle shaped like a ball, where the 51 Navy has what looks like a countersunk hole in a hole.

Maybe it's me but this one doesn't shoot worth a :cursing: My other revolvers shoot ok. :surrender:

I have pulled all my revolver rammers and cut a hemisphere in the end with a half inch ball mill. Round will center most any projectile you want to load even if it distorts the point of a bullet some it will be uniform and thus more consistently accurate if you carefully seat it straight, in my opinion. As how I like things that make sense, thanks for the answers, off to the shop to reshape the plunger. :hatsoff:
