I just got my Enfield 1853, 3 band's from Armi Sport. It's I think about 10'ys old gun but in exelent condition.

Just wondering, is the Armi Sport barrel the 1:48 or 1:72 ?? I heard that Eurosport is 1:72 or 1:66 and the Armi Sport is 1:48. Could You give me some clu what minie bullet's shoul'd I made for it? I can use the LEE's .577 or Pedersoli .580

Oh, and is there some info with the year's marks to get the year of manufactured of mine Enfield ?? It's not silver it's black ended, but look's quite nice for year's and it's in 50m shooting from 5 to 10 on target. I will later show some photos of marking's of my Armi Sport. It's my newest gun in collection, and my first Enfield for CW reeacting.

They are 1 in 66", see the manufacturers web site: 1853 3- Band Enfield Musket.

I've had an Armi Sport Springfield which was made about 15 years ago, and I suspect all of their .58 muskets have the same barrels. Mine shoots best with the wind sensitive RCBS/Hodgdon Match Minié ”“ a semi-wadcutter which performs best at shorter ranges. The bullet is close to bore diameter, anything else won't work. It is also picky on powder charge. I used 58 grains of FFg Schuetzen (Wano) as far as I can remember.

Did All Armi Sport about 10'ys old wgot the 1:66 twist ?? I heard that AS was made in 1:48 and 1:72 sometimes. How is Armi Sport Enfield to Euroarms Enfield ?? I heard that Armi Sport is better than Euroarms and worst that PH Enfield. Where can I found infos about marsk and year's of mannufactury of Armi Sport guns ?

Yes, I think they have been 1 in 66" for at least 15 years. I'd suggest you send an e-mail to Armi Sport about the twists. They should know

The Parker Hale Enfields are by most shooters considered the best, especially the ones made in Birmingham. I don't know about Euroarms, and Armi Sport is ... Quite ok I guess. They are cheap, and you get what you pay for. I mostly shoot originals now, and the quality doesn't even compare.

I think the Euro Arms Enfield barrels have progressive rifling in both the Musketoon and Rifle(33")

Dixie Gun Works says their Enfields and the parker hale (Italian) are the same gun. Also I think I remember reading on the Euro site that the barrels are Progressive.

Midway and Fall Creek Suttler say the Armi Sport 1853 is 1:48

Armi sport says 1:1660mm
