I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on group size. Ya, its important for sure but what is most important, in a hunting situation, is first shot consistency. If you consistently put the first shot from your rifle in the same spot, then sight in for that load. The first shot is the critical one. Never yet seen any hunter shoot a “group” into an animal.

Got back to the range and started at 75 yards. Started with 80 grains 3f (switched from 2f), raised the group about 1.5”. Group size about the same as 2f. Patches looked the same, maybe a little better. Went to 90gr 3f, raised the group another inch. Group size the same, maybe a bit better. Patches definitely had some tears but it didn’t seem to affect the groups this time. Moved out to 100 yards, shot a 3” group about 2.5” low. Done. Ready to hunt. 90gr 3f, 0.530 ball, 0.018 pillow ticking lubed with mink oil. 2.5” high at 75 yards, 2.5” low at 100 yards. After hunting season I might mess around with the over wad idea or try the 0.535 ball for a tight seal. Thanks for the input guys.
