I took my new to me 54 GPR flinter out to the range today for the first time. I tried 90 gr of FFFG like my other 54 GPR flinter likes. The group was 6" at 25 yards from a bench :( . I swapped to 90 gr of FFG that I had brought with me and got one jagged hole :) . Two of the same guns each liking different powder sizes :idunno: .

My .54 has a Getz barrel with round bottom rifling. I shoot a .526 ball with .012 spit patching. I use 55 grains of 3F for target shooting at 25 yards and 75 grains of 3F for everything else. I find that it shoots to the exact same POI at 25 yards with either load.

Many Klatch

Yeah probably would. You would be shocked to compare the 2 loads at 50 and 75 yards. Especially if one is a "hunting" load you really ought to see.
