Yep. PA's the same way. Has to be 44 caliber or larger. I'm really not sure if it was legal but I killed the biggest buck in my 55+ years with a .40 caliber bullet in one of those things we ain't supposed to talk about here! This deer was well over 200 lbs and only went 40 yards after deflating both lungs.

The older I got, the smaller the caliber I use. The 45 cal with a 180gr ball goes 2033fps.
Dont kick as bad as the 54 I had. Shoots further, and more accurate.

The 50 would be a happy medium

You must have had a typeo as i read 180 gr ball in the .45 n spit some of my coffee out reading it. 180 should do a great job
