At Friendship this past spring, a gentleman had a box of about 200 funky looking Minie balls, they were .575 diameter but they were in the 250-300 gr (can't remember exactly) range. Does anyone have a mold that sounds similar to this they are willing to let go of or know who makes one?

That must be an interesting bullet. My. 580 minies from a Pedersoli 309-580 mold weight 640 grains. I guess one could turn(on a lathe) a longer stem that makes the base cavity. I may try that in future.

Awesome! Thanks for the replies. I was trying to be historically accurate but man, you really burn through your lead supply casting 535gr Minies...
