WANTED .575 275gr Minie Ball Mold

At Friendship this past spring, a gentleman had a box of about 200 funky looking Minie balls, they were .575 diameter but they were in the 250-300 gr (can't remember exactly) range. Does anyone have a mold that sounds similar to this they are willing to let go of or know who makes one?

That must be an interesting bullet. My. 580 minies from a Pedersoli 309-580 mold weight 640 grains. I guess one could turn(on a lathe) a longer stem that makes the base cavity. I may try that in future.

Lyman makes a wadcutter minie that weighs about 315 grains. It was the most accurate bullet in my PH Enfield. Dixie Gun Works shows one in stock.

I have an old Lyman that drops 370 grain .58 minie ball. They're only 3/4 inch tall, were the ones you saw shorter than that?

I have an old Lyman that drops 370 grain .58 minie ball. They're only 3/4 inch tall, were the ones you saw shorter than that?

Possibly, I wish I had bought them. He was selling them for a good price even if I remelted them as scrap.
