Anyone heard of this mould? I have a 575213 OS and 575213. What does this one look like? How old?

575213 is a .58cal hollow base minnie from Lyman. Wieght is listed at 505grs. At one time it was their most popular minnie in this cal. The 575213-OS is a 460gr hollow base minnie also from Lyman. Hope this helps.

:v I would suggest that you eye-ball the skirt section of these molds, the 575213OS had a very thin skirt, the "new improved" 575213 has a thicker skirt to allow use of heavier charges.

The 575213GP that you ask about I assume (that's dangerous you know) may be sized differently to allow use in the Lyman Gret Plains, but that's a wild guess on my part. A call to Lyman's would likely get the best answer. :v

My year 2000 Lyman catalog doesn't recognize a 575213 GP bullet mold number.

The current Lyman site LYMAN MUZZLELOADING BULLETS doesn't recognize it either.

As was mentioned the "OS" (for Old Style) and a PH (for Parker Hale Enfields) are shown but your "GP" must have been made further back than 2000.

Yes, the Gent I'm buying from said it is very old.

Thanks all for your replies. :hatsoff:
