Single ball, aluminum (obviously not a Lyman just came in the box)
Just picked it up in a lot I bought, can't find anything on it. Did a web search using every combination of terms I could think of, nothing. Expected it to be a Lee but there's record that I could find of a Lee mold in this size or with this model number.

Any idea who made this? And what would a .576 ball (assuming that's the poured size) be used for ?

Have you checked it with a magnet, it doesn't look like aluminum to me. It should work just fine in a .58 smoothbore. What does the label on the Lyman box say (if it's the correct box)?

Hitting it with a magnet was the first thing I did - definitely aluminum, with steel guide pins.
That's the box it came in but I do not believe it's the correct one. The label is torn off

It'd work in a musket with a bore about 582. Lots of the repro Civil War guns are waaaayyy over their nominal or stated size.
