There is a percussion Harper’s Ferry in the classifieds right now. Having it opened up to .58 smooth or rifled shouldn’t be an issue at all.
Yes and I wish the Harper Ferry .58 came percussion.Last I spoke to Mr Hoyt it was $50 plus return shipping. But you will have to check with him on that.
I have two a .54 and a .50. Can’t decide which to send to be opened up. The .50 shoots really well and is cheap on ball and powder. The .54 matches some other rifles and brings the hurt really well when hunting with a .530 ball and 40 grns of 3F.
Wish the GPP came as a flint gun.
Thanks, I messaged him earlier, we'll seeThere is a percussion Harper’s Ferry in the classifieds right now. Having it opened up to .58 smooth or rifled shouldn’t be an issue at all.
Uhhh. I think a 58 revolver would be just the thing.
I have one a trapper 58 percussion had it built though .Is there a muzzleloader pistol in .58 percussion.
I know about Pedersoli Harper Ferry flintlock .58 and their percussion is in .54.
Anything out there?
Thank You. I'll keep them in mind if I go the build routeI have two Douglass 54 pistol barrels brand new have one of those done to a 58
Have you got a picture?I have one a trapper 58 percussion had it built though .
YepHave you got a picture?
That is a beauty!
That's true. The cost is prohibitive for me.Another option would be to get the Harpers Ferry 1805 pistol in flint then have converted to percussion. That's what they use to do.

Fine looking pistol. Here is a Hawken pistol by Jud Brennan:

Mr. Brennan is legendary among custom builders. This particular pistol is .69 caliber! For more about it, check Mr. Brennan's website: Jud Brennan Hawken Pistol
I don't know if Mr. Brennan made this pistol for himself or if he sold it. By all accounts, a Hawken pistol is a very complex build, and they are priced accordingly.
