I wasn't going to list this rifle, but I had a couple of inquiries. So, I'll list it. I shot a deer at about 40yds. with it last year, and that big ball spun it around in its tracks
It is a more or less Moravian style rifle.
Barrel = 37" swamped .60 barrel. I was told it was a Getz, but I'm not going to remove it to see. It is a nice barrel anyway.
LOP = 13.75"
Weight = 8.2lbs.
Lock = L&R
Barrel = breech: 1.125-waist: .875"- muzzle: 1"
I use a .590 ball with a canvas patch and between 85 and 95gr. of 2F. I bought some .580s but haven't tried them yet.
Price $3000 including shipping in a wooden box

With you on the 'big push' thing... Even w/ the severe osteoporosis I have right now due to multiple myeloma, my .54 Colonial just gives a safe prolonged shove that hasn"t bruised, let alone broken, anything. All the unmentionables are staying locked up this season... well except maybe for my 'pig pistol,' and it kicks up, not back.
Gorgeous rifle... the understated Moravian-style carving is a great connection to the combination of beauty and simplicity they sought in all areas of their lives.

Is this rifled or smooth bore? I’m looking for a 54 or 58 smooth. This might work all I have now in smoothie is my brown Bess carbine. Have enough rifled muzzle loaders
