Here’s a Sitting Fox English NW Trade Pistol in a .62” (20 bore) Smoothbore, apparently built by SF (with no name on the top barrel flat), with a nice curly maple stock and a 9 1/2” octagon to round (wedding band transition) barrel (unknown maker, not listed on SF website) with a brass turtle front sight. The barrel finish is a really nice artificially aged browned patina (with the lock browned as well) and the Chambers small Queen Anne flint lock throws one heck of a shower of sparks (resulting in virtually instantaneous ignition). Trigger pull is a slightly heavy 6lbs., but I find it to be just fine for a Smoothbore pistol. According to Ray Franks Sitting Fox website it lists a 10 1/2” barrel, but this fine pistol has a 1” shorter (more handy and lighter, weighing 2.78lbs and measuring 15 3/4” overall) 9 1/2” length barrel. This is just the perfect compliment to anyone shooting that same 20 gauge smoothbore in .62”. It has a steel trigger guard, with brass ramrod pipe and a serpent sideplate. Try and find a nicer 20 gauge flintlock smoothie pistol for less. These kits are priced at $499, sold “in the white” at $999, and finished at $1199. My price of $650 includes USPS “priority mail” and insured. I accept either paypal f&f (shipped the next day after receiving payment), or a USPS postal money order. I’m not accepting trade offers on this one. I’ve got a long verifiable history in this fine forum. If interested, please send me a PM (private message) thriugh this great resource. Thanks for taking the time to read my attempted well defined for sale ad. This pistol would make a very fine compliment to your collection, whether you have its companion 20 gauge long gun (whether smoothie or a .62” rifle).
