What loads do you guys use for turkey and squirrel hunting in your .62 cal?
I have one coming soon and want to figure out what loads to use. I have circle fly wads ( brown over powder/fiber cushion/ white over shot ) and 2F goex
Thanks

I use 65gr of 3f, a 1/4" lubed wool felt wad, a 90 gr measure of #5 shot, and a thin over shot card.

About the same load except I use tow as the wad and wadded paper or tow over the top. natural wads work well and I have used wool blanketing, greased dog hair, rubbed brown paper, ans old wasp nest. Picked hemp thead works well also but it is a pia to pick.

I use 80 grains 2F an 1/8th inch durofelt wad 85 grains mixed 4 and 6 shot and 1 circle fly o/s card. This is my turkey load. My barrel is jug choked.

For squirrels, 70 grs of 3f or 2f (they seem to shoot interchangably in my gun), overpowder card, fiber wad, heaping 70 grns of shot, overshot card.

55 grains. of 2F true black powder two over shot cards over the powder and one over the shot

For squirrels I use 60gr 3F, over powder card, cushion wad lubed w/mink oil or deer tallow, 75 gr measure of #5 shot and over shot card.

Haven't shot a turkey so can't say on that one.
