Im getting a .66 cal rifled gun made by Mike Brooks. Does anyone here have a .66 rifle gun, and could you share your loads and ballastics?

I had a .66 musket (smooth) that was a real hoot with 80 gr FFg. You should be able to honk yours up to 120 gr or better for things like Tyrannosaurs and Hippos and such. Yee-Hah! I am jealous. That is going to be one serious smokepole. :hatsoff:

A few years ago I was having one built by ERA. It was going to have a Gets barrel. The rifle was ready to go in 3 months, but no barrel, 6 months still no barrel. Both myself and the folks at ERA called and spoke to mr Gets we were promised the barrel was on it's way. 9 months no barrel , more calls and promises. still no results.finaly after waiting 14 months I called Gets and canceled it. Called ERA and asked him to make it a .62 and had the finished rifle within a month.I will gladly do business with ERA any time, but never again with Gets barrels. And that was the end of that.

I'm bringing my 75 cal round ball gun to the range tomorrow for the first time. The barrel looks like a cartoon of an elephant gun barrel. Took most of a year to get the barrel from Ed Rayl. Looks great. Find out how it shoots tomorrow. GC
