.71 caliber barrels on ebay

Found some barrels. I would like to make a 71 but what could this person "Doc White's of Green River Rifle Works estate" had in mind for a 24 inch barrel. Seems really short. This seems like a guy that would have had something in mind for them any ideas. Is 24 inches really long enough?

Doc White was a well-known builder. Maybe they were intended for a small batch of something. @AZ Muzzleloaders has had some of his unfinished projects, may be familiar.

I recently purchased Doc White's (of GRRW and White Muzzleloading) entire traditional muzzle loader parts inventory.

The 71 cal barrels were not in a designated parts set according to the inventory sheet (there were a number of barrels not in parts sets). No idea what Doc had planned.
