A “Fishy” Powder Measure

Made this “Fish” themed powder measure for a friend. It‘s made out of some sort of Maple I had lying around and holds 65gr of powder. It could be easy modified for less by adding a 3/8” dia plug inside. The eyes are Phillips screws with the centers drilled out and filed flat. A light coat of stain was applied over some scrimshaw lines to make them pop and I’ll apply some BLO once dry. These are quite fun little whimsical projects!

Took “French Colonial” suggestion and made up a fish hook and cord attachment on the first one I made several months ago. The hook moves freely and is able to bend out out the way. Will see if it interferes with loading.

That is outstanding. I've seen a few fish measures along the way (I love the look of them) but this is, by far, the best! Kudos!
