France around 1870.
With a Belgian barrel.
Ebony shaft.
Caliber approx 10.4 mm.
A beautiful piece of Craftsmanship

Because she`s practically unshot, i will put them in the collection. I have
a few others to shoot.
But I would be tempted to shoot them.

Wise choice, I have a set of Le Page dueling pistols that are unfired and intent for them to remain that way.

I wouldn't care if it was accurate. That is a beautiful piece of art and craftsmanship. I'm surprised it isn't worn from 150 years of fondling. Thanks for sharing the photos. That level of talent is extraordinary.

It must have cost the original owner a pretty penny.
But for royalty, no big deal. Let the commoners eat cake!
After a brief stop in Liege, Belgium, I've been attracted to firearms with the Liege proof-mark.

The costs. I found this.
A few pistols simple. Cost 34 guilders? (Correctly in English?)
That corresponded to 2 monthly salaries of a master Craftsman.

For special production up to 165 guilders.

Now iìm in trouble.
I found a place for this pistol.
But there is no more room in the closet for more.

I can easily explain to my wife that I still need a couple of new pistols, but a new cupboard will be difficult
