Hey all! Here are a couple little patch knives for ya'll to check out, please tell me what you think! The blades are heat treated and tempered table saw blade steel, sharpened sharp enough to shave with. The first knife has oak scales, stained and tru oiled. The second is a combo curly maple/ Hawiian koa. I was upset the maple stripes didn't line up, but we will call that "intentional staggering" :). Lots of folks seem to like these little knives, please tell me what you think! URL=http://s36.photobucket.com/user/Im100andiknowit/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpszn4gjefl.jpg.html]

Is it me or does the metal in the handle look bent on this one?

On this one, it looks like the lighter area on the handles (bolster area) don't line up from one side to the other?

Thavks! I'm trying to do primitive and more modern stuff, have a balance. As for my hands, I'm trying to he them at the right angle to eliminate the glare, or else you can't see anything:)

It isn't bent, the picture is taken at an angle and has an egg looking shape. The bolsters don't line up, I said that in my post, that I'm not happy with that. I've learned my lesson, that was my first time trying that design. Now I'm wiser:)

You are basically doing pretty good work, but slow down a tad, and think before you do. Speed comes with experience.

Ok, thanks. It took me a week to fully grind out and sand those blades, and another for woodwork.
Thanks!

Sorry, I was confused, I thought you were talking about Wick's work (which is amazing). I appreciate the complements, thank you!
