I went to the range today and was shooting my TVM Early Virginia using 90 grains of 2fg, .530 ball and .018 patches. I ate the center out of the bulls eye on a 50 yard target and couldn't be happier.

Initially I was using TOTW Mink Oil that was pretty dry and had to swab the barrell every 5th shot or loading was a problem. I switched over to Natural Lube 1000 and really saturated the patches and the need to swab just went away.

How saturated should the patch be with the Mink Oil?

I saturate mine pretty well with tallow. However, you're going to end up swabbing sooner using tallow than spit or the wonder lubes.
