...but a fun day!!! Taken at Chadrons (NE) Fur Trade Days' "vous sat. afternoon (July 12th). http://www.furtradedays.com/images/2014_rendezvousflyer.jpg We just drove over for the day and they let us shoot with them. We're the ones (wife & me) with the not-so correct clothes. I wish we would've taken more pics!







This is the only one i captured of my Mrs.!...she's perty handy with that rifle!!!

What kind of rifles did y'all get to shoot?

my .54 trade rifle, hers, a Ped. Blue Ridge .50, both cap guns. I contacted the man in charge ahead of time and asked if we could shoot w/ them even tho we didn't have the appropriate attire, he said "sure" so we took our guns and stuff with us. There were a couple folks that didn't act like they necessarily wanted us there, not being dressed the part and all, but most were more than happy to have us play with them.

Glad to hear that more people than not were happy to let you and your Mrs share the day with them. That's the way it should be.

My wife and I spent seven days over the 4th of July week roaming Nebraska in our Motorhome and drove through the Sandhills on Hwys 12/20 on our way to Chadron to visit the Museum of the Fur Trade. We had a great week in your fine state visiting numerous historical sites / museums.
