I only see a couple but they are the same ones that I probably would have made. I see your grass is green... we still have snow. I just left Ontario last October. Kingston area, I miss it there. :( that grass really is greener on the other side. hopefully I can get back there one day

looks good to my untrained & unprofessional eye. :hatsoff:

Hi Daniel,
Very good job on your first gun. The color and finish are very nice and the gun should be a good shooter. Did you use a 13/16" or 7/8" straight barrel?

As far as I can tell, the only mistake made is that it isn't hanging on my wall.

Thanks Dave, that is a nice compliment from a builder with your talents. The barrel is 7/8ths with a slow 1:72 twist............Daniel

Heck, Looks good to me. The rear sight would be too close to my eye for me, the older I get the farther down the barrel the rear sight has to be. Would be interesting to know if this is a kit or build from scratch. I would say good job either way. chuck

Thanks flinch. I was given the lock, stock and barrel and the only thing that was in let was the lock and barrel. I had to "time" the breech plug, cut the barrel to length and crown and cone it and cut dove tails, carve the stock, inlet the trigger group, RR pipes and entry and fashion the side plate and muzzle cap. First time for everything  ........Daniel

Nice job on your first build. I say "first" cause it's addictive. You can be proud of your effort. In the line of constructive criticism, there is still a lot of wood that could come off--especially along the fore end. I think this is very normal for first time builders. I re-worked my first rifle 3 times over several years before I thought I finally had it where it was supposed to be. The more I learned about LR architecture the more wood had to come off.
