It's a Green Mountain 44" longThat sounds like a great hunt.
Nice looking rifle. I'm curious; what length is the barrel? My own is 42", but yours looks longer.

Enjoy your hunt as well and thanks!A ‘Walk in the Woods’ brought a smile to my face and kindled lots of memories of similarly idyllic days afield in the Fall. Time to take my old Belgian SXS double out to chase some grouse in the deep fir forests of the NW while the larches and alders still have their color. Thanks for sharing your day with us!
You're very welcome Dale. I am happy to share what an enjoyable day it was.Love the rifle, love that spike [yummy] and loved the story.. aaawww nuts, loved the pictures as well. Thank you. Dale
Your very welcome- glad you enjoyed it!!Really enjoyed the story and pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks buddy- when I am tree-stand hunting I just use a belt pouch with three pre- measured powder tubes, round ball and patches, short starter, a turn screw, an extra flint and a small pan primer. It’s less bulk and fuss.Congratulations on a fine day, fine deer, and fine rifle. Next time I want to see a beautiful horn dangling somewhere with the rifle, lol.
Now, now - you’re not allowed to be practical. Bulk and fuss is what 18th century shooting is all about. Thanks buddy- when I am tree-stand hunting I just use a belt pouch with three pre- measured powder tubes, round ball and patches, short starter, a turn screw, an extra flint and a small pan primer. Also: even a bad day in the woods is better than a good day in the city!Thank you Pathfinder!
Even a bad day in the woods is better than a good day at work.
