For those of you who will be hunting Moose or Elk in Colorado this year, enjoy a little eye candy.

We saw both these animals this weekend in Rocky Mountain National Park. They seem to know you can't shoot at them there.

The Elk was standing about 5 feet away from the car. He isn't the biggest I've seen, but he posed so nicely for us I couldn't resist the post.

The Moose was about 35 yards away and chased us off our lunch spot. The sapling he is rubbing is over 8' tall.

I hope you all have a safe and successful hunt!

Enjoy,

Nice photos thanks for posting :) ! My wife is from East Brownfield,Maine.She has told me stories about moose.They are not Bullwinkle :shocked2: and can be dangerous!

Great pics! I always love seeing pics of animals in Colorado. It keeps me motivated to try and get a house built on my land there so I can enjoy hunting them.

I was there last week also. Saw and heard lots of Elk, but not the moose.

I did fish some in the rain and caught browns in the Fall River as well as the Big Thompson. Too many folks wandering about for my tastes, though.

dmills;

The east side of the park is too crowded for us too. Try the Kawunechee valley on the west side and fish the Colorado River. Lot less crowds.
