Ken,
When I was a kid (1960's), I used to get trapping supplies, books, lures and such, from an E.J. Daley. (sp?) from you area, I think.

Do/did you know of him?.

Using his great stuff, even a simple minded Texan could catch a varmint now and again!

Beautiful mount, and the trapping pics bring back old memories.

Terry

Keith

P.S. Love the pictures.

Northern wisconsin is full of fisher. I have seen several and if you get an usually harsh winter, they can be seen eating the carcasses. we also have pine marten. those pictures bring me back to my trapping days as a boy. Too many kids are tainted by the chat rooms and playstation to learn of real adventure. Speaking of porcupine, my grandmother cooked one up many years ago. I think i will stick to venison

Doesn't Texas has Ocelot (very few) as well as the civet cats which might fill the same "niche" in the animal world as the fisher? It apperars the ringtailis are about the same size as the fisher, from looking at the pictures. Don't know if anyone traps them any more, lots of people did in the 40's and 50's for spare cash.
