Making do with what you have: I worked for a company that changed the way they deposited their money and were throwing away the heavy cotton canvas coin bags. I scooped them all up as I knew they would be put to good use. Some had denominations on them, some were blank. The bags took a really nice walnut dye. I took one bag, stitched to the back and flap one piece of 4 oz. sueded buffalo hide, and made the carry strap from the same piece of hide. I finished the stitching tonight. So did I make a silk purse from a sows ear ?? Maybe .... I do know this bag will be around long after I am gone. It will make a great carry bag for the woods.
