Here are a couple of pics of the horn with a new oval pouch. I utilized the same strap that was on the first pouch for this one.

Also included is a pic of the first pouch with a simple horn and plain linen strap.

I think that the two pouch/horn combinations are now an improvement over what I initially had.

I again offer my sincere thanks for everyone's kind words. They are enough of an influence to prompt me to do at least one more horn some time down the road.
