A percussion muzzleloader

Would it be more correct to refer to this as a rear action, percussion carbine? Also the front grip is metal. The round barrel does not appear to be rifled. This also has a tamping stick with a ball extractor.

I think it’s American. I don’t see too many buttplates like that on a European gun. The stock plates could have come from a serving platter for all we know. If the bore is good, I’d fix it up and shoot it.
 
I agree. I think it was done up to look European. I wonder if it was a model that was a display piece in a store or just bought for some dandy kid. lol
