I bought this capper from a fellow who just happened to be in a local sporting goods store back in the 70's. I think he was from Mt.Vernon Illinois. I think he said it came from the Hawken Shop. It's got Hawken, a star, and St.louis stamped on it. Anyway, it's a good one, not like the little brass pieces of junk available today.

Yep, thats where they came from. Had 3 mod. one for #11 Italian caps, one for # 11 Remington, Navey Arms, and German caps, and Hawken Special order capper for Italian #11 caps with special tip for narrow nipple access area. Price was $8.50.
