This gun is an attempt to copy a European style flintlock, the barrel has a crude attempt at copying the famous Italian Cominazzo barrel makers signature and fails miserably, note the tang is actually plated with gold!
The lock also has a spurious signature. The gun has some nice silver wire inlay and carving on the butt but then has a really crude brass backplate
It has a dummy ramrod carved into the stock which I believe is a common feature of these.

Crude looking in many ways, but a lot of work went into the wire inlays I bet.
Was it made for the tourist industry or is it even made to fire?
It's a shooter for sure, the lock is properly made and I have fired it a couple of times, looking on Google I see the built in ramrod is commonly seen on Balkan and similar area pistols and the owner carried a metal ramrod in his belt.

I just spotted some of this type on another forum where the butt is carved and inlaid with silver wire etc but the brass backplate is the same crude shape as on mine.
