These two guys are showing up regularly at one of my feeders. Unfortunately the half a buck guy will live out his life here as culling bucks like this isn't allowed in our part of Texas. The other guy might end up meeting a round ball this year.

Why can't that buck be taken, antler restrictions? He probably injured one of his rear legs at some point. That can cause abnormal antler growth on the side opposite the leg injury.

Both look pretty young yet. Give the little fella a couple of more years to get some mass on him, he will be a really good trophy then.
And please reset the clock on your game camera after changing the batteries.... (Yea, I forget that too)

Yeah....I have about a dozen cameras out and I am pretty lazy about resetting the times and dates on them. I have had some thieves to deal with and the cameras I have set to try and catch them have the right times on them....but haven't caught up with them...yet !
We have antler restrictions here that require a buck to have a spread of at least 13 inches to be legal. I have seen a bunch of illegal guys over the years that I would like to see culled...but no sympathy from the fish and game guys.
I think the guy on the left is probably pretty old, but the other one is a youngster.
