Did some final tests and tweaks to my CVA Hawken rifle. Very happy with it. The center group is at 50 yards, benched. Note the significant drop at 100 yards but still thrilled with the group!!

.49 caliber Hornady ball with 0.010 oiled patch, 90 grains Pyrodex RS at 50 yards.

I have always liked CVA Hawken style products. CVA is way under rated. Your Hawken is
a legacy grade rifle. Those groups are excellent. CVA has offered some of the best
barrels manufactured--bar none. I have had CVA and TC Hawkens. Now I use an
Interarms hawken Carbine version that is light and accurate. CVA had a Black Chrome
Hawken that was awesome-- and a top match barrel. Grab when you can. Supply of
anything traditional is hard to get. Thanks for sharing a great Rifle.
