I found a set of the old Quic-Kee Scope Mounts on Ebay. Listed as fitting t/c & GM barrels. 1991 and newer. they use screws.

RMC sports has removeable scope mounts for octagon barrels in their catalog. Looks like they attach to the side flats with allen head screws. I bet they would work just great for load testing. Check out the online catalog through this link. They also sell flintlock rifles as well. I have one and they are great guns for 500 bucks.
