Well I just went and sighted in my Pedersoli Blue ridge kit rifle that I finished and all I can say is holy manure this rifle shoots great!

My first 2 shots at 50 yards were touching (overlap about 25%)

My second 2 shots without swabbing moved over 2.5" to the right but were ALMOST in the same hole! (overlap was about 75%)

My 5th shot I almost could not get the bullet down the barrel from the filthy barrel.

I used 85gr of FFFG Goex and the Hornady .490 round ball T/C prelubed patch.

I did not use any lube except for what was on some purchased prelubed patches that I bought (T/C patches) and did notice a lot more fouling in the barrel- I shot this rifle last fall and used the same patches but also used extra T/C lube on the patches and could shoot many more shots but without the extra lube it did not let me shoot 5 in a row.

Anyway I am happy with the rifle and how it shoots.

Sorry but I can't post picture as my Fuji cameraq took a dump :(

My expereince is similar to yours. I have a .45 Ped. Penn rifle and .54 Kentucky pistol. They never fail to spark and accuracy is astounding. Some friends rag on me because my rifle is not PC but they can never outshoot me. But fouling makes loading very hard unless I keep swabbing. But I have only tried prelubed T/C ticking patches and Ox Yoke wonder patches. Maybe I should try some other lube and patches?

Try swabbing between shots with one of the pre-lubed patches. Should solve your problem and move them all to one group at the same time. Turn the patch over and use both sides.

Try Hoppe's black powder solvent/lube or the Ballistol dry patching system. They both let you keep shooting without as much, if any, swabbing. With most of my guns, I could shoot all day without swabbing using Hoppe's. I get more accuracy using Ballistol, but I do need to swab now and then, just not nearly as often. Maybe with a richer mixture, swabbing would be eliminated completely.

My Blue Ridge groups tightend when i switched from FFF to 70 grains of FF. 490 ball pre lubed patch.
Mine`s a flint and i`m sure the gun is doing it`s job pretty good it`s me and mr. flinch that is keeping my groups a little loose.
Grats on your gun and nice shootin.

My Blue Ridge flinter is a .45. I use pillow ticking and home made moose milk. I can shoot an entire match (approximately 20 rounds) without swabbing the barrel once. The last ball seats just as easy as the first.
