Most politicans fall into this catagory, maybe a warning tatooed on their face.
Warning! Do not put this idiot in a position of power.

IMHO a person should have to pass a mechanical aptitude test in order to own tractors or farm equipment. I've seen some pretty crazy stuff over the years.
That’s just sad, old tractors are damned easy to maintain, and built to last a very long time if you just do a little simple maintenance.

I am happy to loan things to friends. I also call it a loan and consider it a gift. Often loan things that never come back. I would never loan a gun if it were to be out of my sight.
Had many careers(so-called) in my life. Worked as a civil draftsman for almost 10 years, at Ford stamping plant on assembly line, Insurance agent, military '68 & '69, gas station attendant(when you weren't aloud to fill your own tank), LEO, many years as a heavy equipment mechanic(rebuilding Alison & Cat Trans, Detroit, Cat, Deutz, Perkins engines). THE TWO THING I WOULD NEVER LOAN: MY TOOLS - TOO DAMNED VALUABLE & MY FIREARMS-TOO DAMNED MANY STUPID PEOPLE!!!

They're now selling an inline thing that you put onto an AR lower receiver! Uses shotgun caps, etc.

I actually kind of like that item. It may be a way to keep an AR-15 if it is banned in the future as it is a muzzleloader.

My eyes are kinda messed up in old age anyway. I did have cataract surgery and although that helps i still can’t see well near. Something I can put a red dot or scope on nowadays is a plus in my book. Plus being a muzzleloader is even better.

My Dad always told me: "Never loan your friends your truck, your chainsaw, or your girlfriend. They'll try to throw a rod in it as soon as you're out of sight."

If they can ban a bump stock, if they can ban 10 round mags, if they can ban an AR15, they can and eventually will ban the AR15 stock, and muzzleloader. These are evil people and they don't care about criminals having them, they want every lawful gun owners guns!

Oh it's equipment too. A few years back my wife wanted me to go look at her dad's mower because it wouldn't start. He had it around back of his shed when I got there.
Him: "Damn thing won't start. I just bought it last summer. It's almost brand new."
Me: "When did it run last?"
Him: "Last fall, when I cut the grass for the last time."
Me: "It was running good then?"
Him: "Yeah, it was running fine when I parked it right here."
Me: "RIGHT HERE?"
Him: "Yeah, right here."
Me: "Outside?"
Him: "Yeah, right where it's sitting."
Me: "All winter?"
Him: "Yeah."
Me: "Did you at least cover it up?"
Him: "No, why?"
Me: 😐
Sounds a lot like my in-law. "It's practally brand new" is his favorite line about anything he owns. And the same reason as yours.

remember when you had to take shop class in junior high school?

then they could figure out who to tell about effective birth control, 'cause we sure don't want that in the gene pool...
I learned more useful things in my jr. high shop class than I did in all six years of college. We did not have any sex education when I was in high school and a lot of the girls figured out how to get pregnant on their own.

I loved shop when I was in school. Heck the welding class and the automotive class was great too. We used to repair the farmers and ranchers equipment a lot. We were getting really good at welding. We actually did stuff in class. nowadays the classes sweep the floors and watch movies. the kids are not allowed to do anything.

I'm probably half as old as most forum members but even when I was in year 7 the librarian would take us out the back of the school oval and we'd shoot clays into the adjacent paddock while kids were kicking the football and whatnot behind us. I even used to bring my gun to school (in a locked case). Now there is no way on gods green earth either of those things would be allowed.
