Aging brass

What a good way of giving an aged look to brass...other than time.

Guys over on the Civil War skirmish board will tell you to take it out back and pee on it for a few days. I'm not kidding.

In spite of all the old methods, BC makes a product called Brass Black. Just apply it, and steel wool it back to the level you want.

You can use a variety of chemical oxidation techniques to get the particular look/age that you want.

Brass black unfortunately is just that. Black. Dicropan T-4 cold blue from Brownells will turn it much more natural looking.
