Retired is the only way I can go.I would live to go. Maybe when i am retired.
I had hard time getting away from work to attend in the past.

If you see us...please stop us & say Hi.I'll be looking for you.
Mrs maniac, my daughter and I FINALLY was able to attend the Alafia River Rendezvous. All of us were really looking forward to leaving the bitter cold of Kentucky to enjoy 70F in central Florida.........NOT!
When we got off the plane in Orlando last Tuesday, it was 37F, wind blowing & cold!
Wednesday...it was 40F, wind blowing as we went to the east coast. The Atlantic waves were 8' - 10' high.
We stayed on the beach for 2 minutes dressed in winter coats ...long enough for a few pictures & left.
Thursday wasn't much better. It rained all day & was 40F too.
Geez..I could have stayed home here in KY & enjoyed such lousy weather.
Anyway......
Friday ( public days ) was at least sunny and almost 50F. All of us still wore coats at the rondy.
Saturday ( public days ) was slightly warmer...a balmy 55F & sunny.
Some participants were barefooted. I thought that was awesome.
We left Tuesday morning for KY & it was suppose to be 70-80F in Florida the rest of the week.
Of course it will be nice, we are leaving heading home to freezing weather once again.
Regardless....below is the 1st of 2 videos I put together with what I could see at the Alafia Rendezvous.
Video # 2 will be posted next Sunday.
Enjoy:
Final count on participants was all 1400 adult medallions were used plus childrenI was able to visit on Saturday. Took a buddy of mine that had never been to an event like this before. We both had a great time.
