These were given to me as a gift from my brother. One is a 2nd Gen Colt Navy .36 cal revolver, the other is an 1858 Remington New Model Army .45 Colt.

The second one is going to be converted back to .44 black powder with the cylinder I ordered from Taylor’s for 118.00 then I can shoot it without thinking there goes a buck fifty every time I pull the trigger. Lol. As it is a conversion from a BP it will be easy to convert back.

Wolfman, I know this a no-no here and I sure do not want too insult your knowledge, I hope you understand not to shoot modern 45 colt cartridges in the conversion, please be careful.

It is actually chambered as .45 Colt, but I want to shoot black powder cartridges through it after I get the proper cylinder from Taylor’s.

Wolfman,
You have a fine and generous brother!

The Remington is undeniably the better revolver, in strength and accuracy, but there is no better firearm design, ergonomically, than the Colt Navy. There was a reason that Bill Hickok carried a pair of those well after more modern cartridge pistols became available.

I never thought much of my two brothers either, they both probably thought the same of me. One or both of them stole guns from me after I went into the army. actually my entire growing up family was negative. My dad hated guns.

Was you adopted?:dunno:
