nearly got my first ML critter yesterday.
was out looking for bears across the bay, had a couple youngsters trot past camp, one stopped at about 30 yds, i brought the hammer back on the .50 GPR... but he was just a lil' feller...
not even 4 1/2 feet... just watched him and let him pass.
looked a lot like a black lab, panting and goofy....
plenty of time, they're just beginning to come out on our beaches...

where are you huntin' spring bear?

they had a spring hunt in Ontario,Canada but the Gornment caved to some animal rights types looking for votes?

now they are a large probelm in a lot of northern small towns and bear removal costs are up there with the snow removal budget!
they have been sighted more and more in the southern region now too, also the average size has risen.
