I didnt get out till late afternoon I was walking along a strip of woods about 10 min into it I spied a doe at about 40yds standing on a angle away from me i pulled up and fired she went down right away and got back up and ran into the corn field before I could get loaded. Spent till 8:30pm looking got my brother and nephew and his friend to come over and help look at 10:00 pm we spent till 12:00 looking couldnt find her  cant belive she got away after she went down and rolled around like that :boohoo:

I just missed, it was just a hair before 7 am & it was still hard to see. A Doe walked up from my Left rear about 45 yards out. I hadn't been there two min and my shooting glasses were still in my pack as I was just putting my flashlight away. Pulling the hammer back & priming got her attention & she stated at me, head on, bobbing around trying to figure me out & then turned & walked directly away till I lost sight of her. I blew my fawn bleat twice & she came back. Stood broadside & I was all primed and took the shot w/ out my glasses. I have a stick on corrective lens on the shooting glasses. She ran when I shot & I found no sign of hit...I'm out of town all week for work & fly back in fri morning so I'll make next saturday.

Well at least you had a shot. All I saw was a porcupine! :haha:
Hey White Buff, did ya ever find out, can ya shoot them?

At least you saw a doe... The only deer I saw all day was about 8:30AM. An 8 point buck stopped about 20 feet from me. As I looked at him I noted his left shoulder was bloody. I was tempted to 'take-em' but reminded myself that I was out for "anterless deer" only. So... I let him go... actually he stood there for about 20 seconds before he caught my scent and headed off into the woods. About 2 minures later, here comes the neighbors boy with his bow. I asked him if he just shot a buck and he said yep. I directed him to where the buck stood and the blood trail was massive. He found his arrow and his Dad showed up a few minutes later and they went off tracking it.

Although it would have been illegal, :nono: I kinda wish I'd shot it just to save them the tracking time. But on the other hand I'm glad I didn't since now the trophy is all his and he's got a good story to tell. :D

Other than that all, I was was about a dozen turkeys, and a couple of squirrels..

My neighbor was up w/ his bow; He just got his ML stamp & is going to bring a friend's up next weekend.

Nice to have the internet in the hotel room. I'd rather be home & hunting instead. :eek:ff:
