alpaca wool for wadding?

I know we've discussed wool for wadding aplenty, but I always beleived it to be in reference to sheep wool

Just found out a cowerker has a few alpacas ...

Any issues using alpaca wool for wadding instead of sheeps wool?

If you enjoy the smell of burning hair and don't wish a tight seal/much velocity, why not? You "can" use about anything for wadding and old-timers did. There are far better options.

We make blankets out of alpaca wool. Id not waste it on wadding.
