Can anyone tell me whats going in Oregon in the near future. I recently moved to the Salem area and I am looking for events this summer.
Thanks,
Mike C

I will admit, I can't tell you a thing about Oregon. But, IF you are interested, it looks like I am moving to Oregon, Salem area, in August. Maybe we can get together and find out what muzzle loaders do in Oregon. I will be there 1st part of July househunting.

Merdean,
Welcome to the Pacific Northwest!
When you get settled in PM me and we can meet and greet.

click on club listings and then on your state. You will have a list of clubs in your area and you can check their websites for activities.

Smoke and Fire News also has complete national listings on a subsctiption basis. 50 newspaper sized pages of listings each month.

Looks like there's an event going on this weekend about 2 miles (as the crow flies) from where I live... :hmm:

Cheers,

I talked to a friend of mine out there, he emailed me these...

Willamette Mission State Park outside of Salem, Oregon: July 2,3,4

Fort Stevens State Park outside Astoria, Oregon: Labor Day Weekend

... but no info beyond that.

Thank you all for the response.
I am relatively new to both ML and re-enacting (year or so)
and I have found this forum and its members VERY helpfull.

Thanks again to all,
Mike C

Ah, you lucky dog! I'm a Kansan by choice, but an Oregonian by the Grace of God, who's wishing to Heaven that I had an excuse to move back to the Beaver State. Homesick? Mais oui!

Cruzatte

Cruzatte,
Quit crying. Besides, my avatar blinks!
Going from the place Satan moved out of because Arizona is hotter than he!! to a place where the sun seldom shines? Do I really want to do this? Or is Oregon where God took a break after creating heaven?

Hi Neighbor,
I live down at the southern end (Medford area) of Oregon...There are some civil war reenactments around, have heard of a few... but dont know the names of the clubs.... there is quite a few of the Mountain men Rendezvous here in Oregon... That would be great. Can I talk you into sending me directions to some of th eshooting areas I can use. I am finding it hard to rundown the ay use area's....it seems that come of the areas have been closed or restricted in the forest areas around Marion County and I am having trouble finding a spot to take the family.
Maybe we can meet sometime and do some shooting??
Thanks Again,
Mike

Cookie,
My parents lived in Grants Pass til my Dad passed away and Mom moved to Aumsville. I used to go up Granit Mountain and pop a cap or too when I was visiting. Saw a few deer up there. Never in season.

I will be driving through Medford on July 3rd. If all goes well it will be around 6PM. Going on up to Grants Pass to visit my sister, then, on the 4th, over to Selma to pick up a puppy my Wife bought. Then up to Aumsville to see Mom and brother. Have to go house hunting in Salem. Looks like I am moving up there in August. If interested in a meet, drop a PM. If not, don't. Hope to see you.

Welcome to Oregon, I moved to Eugene a few years ago and have found it hard to find information about events in the area or active clubs in the area. I did go the Tioga Rendezvous and found it to be a good event. Other than that I couldn
